Upgraded to Ekster wallet pro after using a similar product. I purchased the green apple skin specifically for the color as well as the green key organizer. However, I do regret not getting the tan. The seam stitching on the back is not very good on my particular piece and is going to become a problem. The cash strap also extends about halfway across the wallets back side making the card slot on the back unusable. Overall a good concept. One gripe I have is that Ekster decided to glue the case to the wallet, making it impossible to remove if you decide you want to carry just the card reader or buy an alternative leather case.
Update: gets 5 stars. After a few months this wallet is just awesome. Added the cash clip to the back and use the card slot on the back for my ID. Ithought the slit would be unusable due to the hump but it's fine. A+ product.
This is my second Parliament Wallet from Ekster! The only reason why I had to buy another one was because they came out with a new color, and my brother wanted the one I had. I love how my cards stack in the wallet and are so accessible! It had plenty of room for my membership/ID cards and cash. And I’ve gotten several compliments on my wallet so far! This is the last wallet you’ll every need!
Amazing packing looks very stylish, minimalist item, nicely designed, must try once. Love it.
I ordered a green-colored product that looks too dark. Fanout is not as smooth as advertised, I've to adjust cards every time to fanout properly because it gets stuck. Takes only 5 cards and not 6, less than 4 cards fall out if turned upside down. Looks a little open if you put cards in the outside slider. The tracker needs location and Bluetooth "ON" all the time to work.
This is an awesome product and worth a purchase.
You can only put 8-10(max) bills folded in 1/4 without being too bulky. 7 cards max in the button section and 2-3 in inside pocket.
Perhaps I was expecting too much for the price.
I was excited to get my hands on my Ekster Pro Wallet and accessories after doing much research into minimalist spring slot wallets. While the wallet is very functional and solid, the wallet i received had two significant creases it in it, as if it was used and return. Also the craftsmanship is lacking, with the slot wallet being suck to the leather using glue strips that stick out and collect dust and fibres. What even more unfortunate is the money clip accessory for the Pro Wallet scratched the leather the first time I inserted it. Seems it wasn't filed and smoothed out, I'd expected alot more for a $30 piece of metal. Definitely room for improvement, team.
Purchased the Smiley variant of the Ekster Wallet. Also grabbed the money clipback plate, coin pouch. and Multi tool. So far so good. Once the leather on the wallet broke in, and i figured out how to organize my cards, im quite a happy buyer. The card ejection feature works reliably a a few weeks in, and honestly still makes it fun to pull our my cards. All in all happy with my purchase and i'd recommend this wallet to others.
Good wallet but bundle parts a little unclear. Description mentions the Wallet Pro being included but non-Pro is actual product. Wallet tracker did not work with my current Samsung phone. Cash Clip on felt very tight and would damage wallet material. I would have liked more detailed instructions for each product. I enjoyed card feature for the wallet and it felt very secure.
I've only been using the ekster pro wallet for about a month now. It's a really good quality wallet. While it does almost everything really well I have one major issue with the wallet. For metal cards which are becoming more and more prevalent, this wallet's retaining mechanism is a complete failure. The wallet relies on friction to hold all of the cards in place for storage. This works well when the embossed numbers for plastic cards allow increased pressure to aid in the retention of the cards. Metal cards don't have raised numbers and so they tend to slide out with very little jostling of the wallet. In my opinion, couple the ejection mechanism with a spring loaded catch that pulls back allowing the ejection mechanism to work would be all the next version of this wallet needs to work properly.
Just received my Ekster wallet this week and I’ve been using it for a few days now. So far I’m very happy with the wallet. I did have a mistake on my original order and the customer service team at Ekster was very quick to get the issue resolved in a generous way!
Obviously, I was drawn to this wallet for the button/card-release feature, which is pretty handy (although you need to be careful not to turn the wallet upside-down when not full as nothing is holding the cards in place). What I failed to anticipate was how annoying it would be to have an unsecured flap be the other part of the device. Newer versions have a snap, so those are probably less irritating.
I like the push up cards feature of your wallet, but it still can be a little bulky in a pocket. Just one bill inside and it has that familiar billfold bulge in a pocket.
I typically just get cheap wallets to last me not very long each time. I was getting tired of a bulky wallet in my pocket and was wanting to find something a little bit more slim to fit in my pockets. I came across Ekster, and was skeptical about spending 90 dollars for this. But so far I have no regrets! It is so much slimmer than my last wallet, I love the amount of card space it has, and the fact it is RFID blocking. I would recommend this to all my buddies!
This is my 2nd wallet, which started to falter after about 5 years. I like the looks of my new Oak Fortuna and also its function, as always, "Right on the Money!"
I carried a Tumi leather billfold for years that, with cash and various cards, was over one inch thick! The biggest issue with traditional bifold or trifold wallets is that cards are stored in pockets: a layer of leather between every card. Add RFID mesh and stitching, and a wallet holding 6-8 cards is over double the thickness of the card stack. Add in cash, particularly both domestic and foreign currency if you travel, and it's no wonder how a wallet can be over an inch thick!
Of the various button-actuated designs on the market that eject cards, the Ekster Pro leather wallet seemed to have the best and sturdiest one. Others have small buttons that stick out from the bottom or side, while the Ekster Pro has a large metal trigger forming the lower corner of the wallet. This seems less likely to snag on something or get accidentally triggered. Good mechanical action, and the cards consistently eject in an evenly staggered spread, making it easy to identify, pull out, and replace cards. This feature is a must, and why I didn't consider a Ridge. Leather is soft, supple, and appears to be of good quality. Elastic band is good for several bills folded in thirds; I found this sleeker than using the accessory clip, which holds cash on the backside of the wallet and adds significant thickness.
The only negative is that the interior pockets on the leather flap cover are the height of the wallet, which is closely sized to credit or ID cards; this makes for very tight pockets, and I found it very difficult to slide cards, or the accessory metal tool card, in and out. I suggest putting items less frequently accessed in these pockets.
Minimalist wallets are a "game changer", making you reevaluate what you need to carry, what you can replace with digital cards on your phone, etc. The Ekster Pro is a perfect way to transition for those who still want a classy leather wallet.
I really love these wallets They have one floor with the tiny little rubber piece on the inside that eventually becomes detached and breaks, but the lifetime warranty is true and they hold to it well. My recommendation is get two so you’ve got a back up while the warranty goes through! There’s so many choice's so you’ll probably want to anyways.
beautifully made wallet for credit cards and business cards. unfortunately i use multiple currencies - in bill form when i travel, and the wallet has not capacity for them
Overall this a very good wallet. The plusses: the card ejector is a benefit over contemporary slim wallets. Trying to pull cards out of leather or plastic was a hassle but the card ejector is a breeze. The leather is good quality and so far has held up nicely. The minuses: tri-folding anything more that two or three bills and inserting behind the strap doesn’t allow the wallet to close flat. This has forced me to carry less bills and use higher denominations. Some of the interior card slots create the same “bulkiness” when using them for anything other than a very thin card or item and thus the wallet doesn’t close (or fold) flat. Not happy about that. I continue to use my Ekster wallet and hopefully the leather provides a little more give over time.
I lost my previous Ekster wallet. It was in excellent condition after many many years of everyday use, so I immediately ordered a new one. This time it is even better!
Because it can't. The hair-on cowhide is cut from a real hide, and every hide has its own markings. The photos show one wallet. Yours will have a different spread of color and pattern, and no other wallet in the run will match it.
Yes. It's genuine hair-on cowhide, set against premium vachetta leather. The hair is part of the hide, not printed or applied on top.
Each wallet in the run carries its own number, marking it as part of the 10th anniversary edition. Once the run sells through, we're not making more.
Brush it in the direction the hair lies to keep it sitting flat, and let it dry on its own if it gets wet. Skip the leather conditioner on the hair side. The Vachetta panel takes normal leather care.
Yes. It takes the same cash clip, coin pouch, tool card, and other accessories compatible with Ekster Wallets. The Tracker Card slides in the same way, too
Up to seven in the quick-access slot, and 1-14 cards with folded bills across the whole wallet. Built-in RFID blocking covers the cards inside.
