Why was it called “Parliament” anyway?

“Ekster” is the Dutch word for magpie.
And a group of magpies is called a parliament.

So yeah… the name made perfect sense at the time. A smart wallet, named after a clever bird, with a collective name that hinted at organization and order. Very on-brand.

As we grew internationally, though, we realized not everyone was Googling “magpie facts” before shopping for a wallet. Calling it simply the Ekster Wallet made it way easier to find, understand, and remember.
