We're proud to reveal our latest collaboration with one such company, The Illusionist.\nBased in Munich, The Illusionist is a new distillery which has created one of the most imaginative gins in the marketplace. Like we're trying to challenge people to think differently about wallets, The Illusionist aims to revolutionize the gin industry; by injecting excitement into something which has always been around. \n\nLike your grandad's probably used to his old brick block wallet, he's also probably content with the rote of established gin products; most of these look and taste the same, and for some reason, no one questions it. Not until Tim Steglich and Max Muggenthaler, two forward-thinking connoisseurs, grew bored of their evening glasses of gin and created The Illusionist. \n\nAfter rigorous experiments, a myriad of ingredients, and the opinions of countless gin experts, The Illusionist Gin was born: a deep blue gin, with a tonic that transformed it into a gentle, yet exciting pink elixir. This impressive concoction did the rounds in Germany, spreading like wildfire only by word of mouth; it was obvious that most gin drinkers didn't realize their favorite drink needed an upgrade, but they welcomed it all the same. Three years passed, and The Illusionist challenged the gin industry's archaic norms again, creating and delivering a gin product that was visually stunning and intensely palatable. People were drawn into the experience and the novelty of trying something new. \n\nIf you've kept up with Ekster's story, you'll notice a lot of parallels between our origins. We believe in incorporating exciting innovations and stellar craftsmanship into old products; we see no reason to continue to accept products as they are without demanding more from them. It's easy to see how a smart wallet with an anti-loss Bluetooth tracker has evolved, but it's undoubtedly trickier to do the same with gin. \n\nThis didn't stop The Illusionist, though. One of the many things that set them aside, apart from taste, is the visually stunning bottle they pack their gin in; it's not just a gimmick, as each bottle is handmade and 100% organic, unlike many established distilleries.\nWe're extremely proud and excited to share this collab with our customers because we want to drive a change in the way consumers think about their favorite products. Here at Ekster, we believe it’s important to highlight other companies that are doing the same; changing the marketplace doesn’t happen overnight, and it certainly won’t happen unless consumers are aware of the efforts being made to serve them better.
