A lot has changed at Ekster. Our logo. Our font. Our website. But what hasn’t changed—and never will—is what drives us: creating better gear for life on the go.

From the start, we set out to challenge tradition. To question what a wallet could be. To rethink how everyday carry should function. That restless energy is what got us here, and it’s the same energy fueling our rebrand today.

 

Where does the name “Ekster” come from?

What does the name 'Ekster' mean?

Ekster takes its name from the Dutch word for magpie: a deceptively clever bird known for caching shiny valuables in its nest and guarding them with precision. 

Magpies are sharp, organized, and just a little obsessive when it comes to protecting what matters… exactly how we approach design.

That spirit guided our very first wallet, the Parliament, and it’s been with us ever since (only now, it’s called the Ekster Wallet). Hidden tech inside timeless materials. Products that simplify your day without ever slowing you down. 

Just like the magpie, we’ve built our identity around keeping your valuables close, safe, and ready when you need them.

 

We’ve sharpened up

Our old look served us well, but it was time for something bolder. Something that matched the pace of our community. So we sharpened up.

Our new logo is lowercase, italicized, and unapologetically on the move. 

Our new font, Replica Lineto, brings the perfect balance of clarity and energy. Its geometric precision builds trust, while its rhythm and subtle quirks signal motion and momentum. 

The duality reflects who we are: reliable yet adventurous, informed yet always pushing forward.

In other words, it’s not just a fresh coat of paint. It’s Ekster, redefined to look the way we’ve always felt.
