And, I have both tracker cards, as I bought your original one first (like a week before I was notified of the Apple one coming out), the Chipolo app one which is cool having, too, cuz of the solar panel and the fact that the app works as well as “ Find My” and takes you right into Apple Maps! So it’s great knowing I have a choice to use whichever I want, or have it as a backup.
Between the awesome Ekster wallet ($150), the original tracker card ($40), and the “ Find My Card“ with the first come 20% discount ($40, normally $50) plus tax I’ve spent $245, plus any shipping! And it’s been well worth it so far!
I have one extremely fat wallet that won’t close, and a new leather one (which is almost identical and by the same brand), Bryker Hyde, which are great conventional leather wallets), but haven’t used it yet, because I am using the most common cards and less cash to put into my new Ekster wallet, and it’s really nice to have a thin wallet for a change! It doesn’t really hold six cards in the card slot though, more like 4-5 depending on thickness, but the one I got has a pouch in the back and two pouches on the inside, plus the money band! I’ll most likely end up keeping the tracker card in the back slot but right now it’s in the money band! (The card only needs recharging supposedly once every six months, and it uses a very cool proprietary two pin and two magnet, thin cable attachment, and works very well, just like an AirTag, with the “Apple Find My” feature!) And yes, there are some crappy Chinese tracker cards that are slightly cheaper, but the Ekster is very thin and made to fit well with their wallets. I always say quality is everything! You want it made by a company that has a solid reputation and will replace it if anything happens to it (that you weren’t the cause of, of course).
I’m hoping maybe one day Ekster comes out with the digital credit card that was supposed to come out years ago, with an e-Ink or OLED one color mini screen in the bottom right corner (which is about 1/5th the size of the digital credit card) that supports text and basic graphics and credit card logos, and the card has a chip, NFC, magnetic stripe, and can store 20-30 credit/debit/store cards/discount cards that you can program into and then scroll through them and use whichever you want, and if you leave it at a restaurant for example, once it gets out of a 100ft. range from your iPhone or WATCH, you get notified and can go back and get it. And if you don’t retrieve it within a set number of minutes it auto erases all the data, which you can restore once you pick it up and re-pair it with your phone app. For me, that would EASILY be worth $350-$400, but a more realistic price would be $200-$300. It has been attempted several times before by other companies and the best one started on Kickstarter, but no company was ever able to figure out how to fully make it work without glitches. Once someone figures that out, they’ll have one of the best selling products of all times, guaranteed!
Anyway, the new tracker card is fantastic! I just would like for Elster to make the wallets’ pockets slightly wider in the future, by maybe 1/2”. That would make it a bit easier to pull your credit cards out of the pockets and less folds needed for your cash. But as it is, it’s a fantastic wallet and I love having a thin wallet for a change and the “ Find My” card only enhances its functionality and performance!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
